http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/xoxo-soakerXOXO Soaker on Ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/xoxo-soaker Bibi and I are so excited to announce that our newest collaborative design, XOXO Soaker, is now available for purchase! The XOXO Soaker Cover is designed to be knit in 100% wool for use with cloth diapers. The wide ribbed waist band and leg cuffs make for a snug fit and optimal leak protection. Of course, for those that don’t cloth diaper, it would also be an adorable addition to baby’s wardrobe either under a dress or tunic so a disposable diaper doesn’t show, or as something cute and sweet to wear for baby pictures. The X and O pattern is perfect for your little sweetheart! Included are 5 sizes to fit NB-24 months with variations provided for babies with those adorable extra chubby thighs. This pattern is suitable for advanced beginner and intermediate knitters, and techniques used include knitting in the round and flat, decreasing, grafting and picking up and knitting stitches. Pattern stitches are given both charted and written for your convenience. As a bonus, an excellent summary of how to care for your wool soaker is also included, written by my dear friend and cloth diapering expert, Bibi!

  1. Super excited to try this pattern. I love the collaboration and am excited to get care instructions along with the pattern. I have always used fleece soakers so super excited to dip into the wool world 🙂 I am going to start with grey and venture out into more exciting colors after 🙂 You can never have too many soakers with twins!

    • Awesome! I’m excited for you to give the pattern a try! I love how the sample came out in Cascade 220 Smoke (color 8234) but there are so many lovely shades of gray. I know it’s a neutral, but it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite colors to knit with!

  2. I love your pattern! I would knit it in teal because I love jewel tones, and my son already has a teal sweater set that I made for him before he was born. 🙂

  3. I love the look of this soaker! We are going to cloth diaper this time around, so I really want to try to make it! The only snag is that I need to learn to knit in less than 4 months when our daughter is due! If I’m able to pull it off, I’m leaning towards light green or gray, but maybe pink or purple.

    • Congratulations! One of the best ways to learn to knit is to choose a project that’s above your skill level so you’re stretching yourself to learn new techniques. YouTube has lots of great tutorial videos if you’re a visual learner too. And I’m happy to help if you come across any snags when working up the pattern. Just send me an email! Best wishes!
