Yarn Along : Just One More Week
I've been working on so many exciting projects this week in preparation for the release of my newest pattern--XOXO Soaker. The pattern will be available for purchase on May 20th, so please stop back by next week to pick up a copy!
This pattern was a collaborative effort with my dear friend Bibi of The Conscious Doer and My Cloth Diapers 101. (And those are her adorable cuties modeling the soakers!) She's a cloth diapering expert and has written a comprehensive guide to caring for your wool soakers that will be included as part of your pattern purchase. Not a cloth diapering family? No problem! You can knit up a soaker for baby in any fiber you choose to wear under a dress or just by itself. It would be an adorable wardrobe choice for baby pictures!
The pattern calls for just a single skein (100g/220yds) of worsted weight 100% wool yarn and US size 4 & 6 needles. The tight gauge provides excellent leak protection and the X and O pattern is perfect for your little sweetheart! Included are 5 sizes to fit NB-24 months with variations provided for babies with those adorable extra chubby thighs. It is suitable for intermediate knitters, and techniques used include knitting in the round and flat, decreasing, grafting and picking up and knitting stitches. Pattern stitches are given both charted and written for your convenience.
Bibi and I will also be hosting a GIVEAWAY to celebrate the release of our new pattern! There will be two awesome prize packages available and we'll let you know all the details on how to enter next week! You won't want to miss it!
Linking up with Ginny today for Yarn Along.
