I decided it was time to get back on the horse and try canning again this weekend. You might remember (if you’ve been following my blog since last fall) that I had several less than stellar canning adventures back to back to back and decided to give it a break for a while… And maybe get a real cookbook…
Cookbook accomplished–Canning for a New Generation. It has so many beautiful, tasty looking recipes that I’ve been dying to try, s o when I saw bags of nectarines that smelled heavenly I decided that would be my first conquest–Nectarine Jam.
It’s just a very simple recipe, but I’m so happy with the results (not to mention my 4 pints of delicious jam)!
Especially with a little butter and homemade bread (care of Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day…another of our favorites!)
I can’t wait to try another recipe out of this canning book!
