Making All the Gifts

Is it too early to talk about Christmas gifts?  I hope not...if I'm going to have even a chance to get them finished, I need all the time I can get to work!

Last year, I shared about our plans to celebrate Solstice, which was a really special and fun way to have a day just for us to celebrate amongst all the hustle and bustle of the season.  We're planning to celebrate it again, but this year the Solstice gifts will be handmade items: the Christmas Morning Vests I made for the kids, the Confetti Quilt that I'm working on for Luca, a super soft baby alpaca sweater for Isla with a matching hat, fingerless mitts for Michael, a fun interactive quilted play blanket for Isla.  I do think we're going to tone down Solstice decorating and just do a tiny table top tree in the kitchen decorated with natural adornments instead of a large outside tree.  And of course there will be the traditional fondue dinner!

Michael and I still need to sneak into the Lego room one night and recreate last year's Lego Countdown Calendar.  Best. Idea. Ever.  Luca loved it so much, and so did we!

In other news, we had family pictures taken this weekend.  Since I don't have any in-progress gift pics I can share, let's just look at these gems instead!
