Bluejays!

Hello friends, and happy Wednesday!  It’s been a big designing week around here!

On Saturday, I released Bluejay for kids ages 4-12, along with the completely updated smaller version for babies-Baby Bluejay.  I love how great these vests are for layering during the colder months.  I don’t know about your favorite kiddos, but mine aren’t very fond of thick sweaters with crew necks or long sleeves, so this is a great way to get them wearing some cozy handknits that feel easy and comfortable to them.

IMG_3204 IMG_3277IMG_3235The introductory promotion for the Bluejay Collection patterns expired last night, but I didn’t want my sweet friends here to miss out!  You can use the code YABLUEJAYS on Ravelry until Nov 18 to get either pattern, or the entire collection for 25% off!  I’m hosting a knit along for any Bluejays or Baby Bluejays that you might want to cast on right away, so be sure to stop by my Rav group and say hi!  I love hanging out with knitting friends on Ravelry!

P.S. I didn’t want you guys to have to wait for the Indie Design Gift-A-Long get the discount!  That’s right!  I’ve signed up for GAL2015!  I’ll be posting more about the fun next week–you won’t want to miss it!  Until then, you can stop by the Indie Design Gift-A-Long 2015 thread on Ravelry to get complete details about the promotion, and later, join the KALs and CALs to win awesome prizes!  I’m so excited to be a part of it this year!

Linking up with Ginny this week for Yarn Along!

  1. More designs? Do you ever sleep! I am in awe of you. What a great idea – my little girl was not fond of bulky sweaters either but vests are a good compromise. I wish I still had little ones to knit this for!

    • Sure! The 12 yr size has a finished chest circ of 34″. I would recommend about 2″ positive ease, so as long as her chest measurement is 32″ or less, I’d say it would be a good fit! The length is easily adjustable if she’s tall. 🙂 Let me know if you have any other questions, and thanks for pointing out that the pattern listing doesn’t include that info–I’ll be sure to add it next week 🙂
