Yarn Along–Lace And Stripes Cowl

I think I may have over-committed again (is anyone surprised?) 😉

I thought I might be able to get through 5 knits during this GAL season, but it’s been a bit slow going so far.  I’ve been packing for our Thanksgiving visit, playing around with a couple of new products for my Etsy shop (I can’t wait to share them with you!), trying to work on hand quilting Luca’s quilt (68 squares to go!) and finishing up Isla’s animal dress up blanket (to batting, or not to batting, that is the question!).

Brandy Velten‘s Lace and Stripes Cowl has been a soothing breath of fresh air in between all the other crafting and preparing though.  I chose some stash yarn for it in neutral colors and I love it more and more with each completed section. It seems like it will be a great size to wear, once blocked, and will go with lots of outfits.  I used to make cowls all the time, but have gotten out of the habit a bit in the last couple of years.  I’m so glad I picked this project for GAL2015–I can’t wait til it’s finished!
