I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
We had a lovely and relaxing time together and with family. We tried to spread our gift giving out over the whole week as I find our kiddos get overwhelmed pretty quickly with lots of gifts. We decided to celebrate Christmas Eve at home with our traditional pancake breakfast 🙂 Luca received several games from us this year, as he is becoming less interested in Legos. He also got a set of Star Wars Little Golden Books and a new outfit. Isla’s favorite gifts were a magnetic dress up doll set, Legos, and an 18″ doll with outfits.
After we finished everything up at home, we went to my mom and dad’s house to hang out with my sister and brother-in-law who are visiting from Japan! On Christmas Day we had our traditional sausage gravy and pancake breakfast before opening gifts. Emily and Cody brought us lots of cool treats from Japan–I got a beautiful collection of traditional teas and the flavored Kit Kats they bring are always a favorite. Michael scored a bottle of primo Japanese whiskey and Isla got a little Japanese pretend play lunch set to go with her kitchen things. Luca got some awesome models to put together and paint too! He’s going to love that activity! He also got a brand new bike and a remote control race car from Gita and Pacha and Isla got a shopping cart and a constellation hippo that she’s totally mesmerized with! It was a wonderful Christmas!
Wishing you all the best as 2015 draws to a close! I’m so excited for what’s in store in the New Year!
