Did you have a lovely Thanksgiving? I hope so! I wasn’t able to do quite as much knitting in the evenings this past week as I had hoped, but I’ve managed to finish my Lace and Stripes cowl by Brandy Velten (who, btw, has a gorgeous sweater pattern out just this week–I love it!). I have also started And Then There Were Mitts, but I already fear that I’m going to suffer from second-sock-syndrome…the needles and stitches are just so tiny!
After that, I’m going to try to get a couple of sweaters for the kids on the needles. If only there were more hours in the day!
I hope you’ll check back in next week, as I’m releasing my newest hat pattern–Featheround in two different styles and 4 sizes each using DK weight yarn. It’s a perfect last minute Christmas gift for friends, teachers, and anyone else who deserves a gorgeous hand knit gift.
I will also be launching my first Mystery Knit Along entitled Bowties Are Cool–for all of my fellow Whovians! The MKAL will begin Jan 7, so you’ll be able to work on your own very special Dr. Who souvenir as you watch the season finale on the 9th! It’s designed especially to showcase a beautiful skein of speckled fingering weight yarn (100g) and a gorgeous coordinating solid or semi-solid skein. Full details next week!
It’s getting really busy around here, but I love the hustle and bustle of the holiday season! Best wishes sweet friends!
