Yarn Along–Post Christmas

IMG_3953sm

Did you get all of your Christmas knitting finished?  I did not…  No mitts for Michael.  No sweaters for the kids.  But I did finish two pairs of Farm Slippers that turned out so wonderfully!  My mom and sister both really liked them, and I’m so glad for how squishy and warm they came out.  It was also fun to learn a new technique–I had never done an after thought heel before.

Things are really gearing up for the Bowties Are Cool MKAL to begin just a little over a week from today!  I’m so excited about all of the participation in the Pre Party thread and I can’t even express how anxious I am to release the first clue!  If you’re interested in knitting along with us, pick up your copy of the pattern before we get started (the price will increase once the first clue is live)!

Linking up with Ginny for Yarn Along and Nicole for Keep Calm Craft On this week.  Wishing you all the best 2016 has to offer!

  1. I haven’t even done enough sock knitting to know whether I’d prefer the afterthought heel or the traditional kind. I think if I started doing more sock knitting I would really get into it! I hope you had a great Christmas and a happy new year to you!

    • Thank you Sarah! Happy New Year to you too! I’m not much of a sock knitter–these aran weight slippers were just the ticket tho! 😉

  2. I didn’t even come close to finishing but am fine with it 🙂 we had a great Christmas and I’ll do better next year 😉 at least that is what I’m planning on! Happy Knitting! I heart those socks!
