Half a Sweater-ish

I’m making progress on my Blue Sand Cardigan!  Yay!  I even got brave and tried it on and I was soooo happy with the fit!  The designer is a genius!  I love the way the shoulder shaping hugs my shoulders–I think this cardi will stay in place without shifting around all the time–which is so exciting!

I’ve been able to read a little more in Letters from Honeyhill: A Woman’s View of Homesteading.  The sections I read this week were about Christmas time, and the author’s first anniversary–so sweet!  It’s such an enjoyable book!

A couple of quick plugs for some other things I have going on–if you knit along on the Bowties Are Cool MKAL Shawl, don’t forget to get a finished pic and link to your project page posted by Tuesday, Feb 23rd to be entered to win an awesome prize package!

Are you drowning in stash yarn?  I’m hosting a 61 Day Spring Clean Stash Down Challenge here on the blog and in my Rav group–please consider joining!  It’s going to be so much fun!

Linking up with Ginny for Yarn Along and Nicole for Keep Calm, Craft On this week.

And don’t forget to stop by next week for the release of my new e-book: Bowties Are Cool Companion Collection!

  1. Your cardigan looks wonderful. You chose some great colors. My entire year is going to be about busting some stash. I really need to get a grip on my yarn. So far, so good!

  2. I love the colors in the sweater! So pretty! Last year I forced myself to knit only from my stash – I had a lot. Of course by the time Christmas knitting came around I was sorely lacking in material, and required a trip to the yarn store, but I am pretty pleased with the amount of stuff I was able to do with what I had in my stash. And now I get to build it back up again 🙂
