Nearly There and A Giveaway

So much good news to share today–I’m not sure where to start!

Let’s go with my Blue Sand Cardigan first.  It’s nearing completion!  I can’t believe it!  I’m on the textured lower edging now, which just leaves the sleeves, band and pockets.  Which I’m sure will take more time than I’m expecting, but I’ve knit about 70% of an entire sweater!  I’m so excited!

I’m also reading a bit in this little book each night–The Intellectual Devotional.  The promise to “revive my mind” sounded appealing. 😉

New Patterns!

Now on to more good news! I launched my Bowties Are Cool Companion Collection yesterday, and I have an awesome discount to share with you!  (I wrote up an entire blog post about the e-book yesterday with lots of pics if you want to check it out, or click through to Ravelry for full details.)

If you’re interested in picking up a copy of the e-book, use coupon code ALLTHEBOWTIES when you check out on Ravelry for $2 off!  You’ll get all 5 patterns, including the complete MKAL shawl pattern for just $10!  (There’s also a special deal running if you already have the shawl pattern–details were in the final pattern update and no code is required for MKAL participants.)  Coupon code expires March 2 at 11:59pm CST.

AND I’m going to do a little giveaway for all of my friends here!  I’ve put together two prizes–each with 4 skeins of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Sport (enough to knit the Bowties Are Cool Legwarmers in any size), a set of Bowties Are Cool stitch markers, and a digital copy of the new e-book!

Contest is complete.  Congratulations to Steph and Ella!

1st winner drawn gets their choice of Hollyberry+Wonderland Heather or Ash WotA Sport.  Winners will be drawn Tuesday, March 1st and announced in next week’s Yarn Along post.  Good luck!

Linking up with Ginny for Yarn Along and Nicole for Keep Calm Craft On.

  1. Cool loop for me!!! I’m finding I can’t get enough of cowls lately….and winter definitely isn’t over, as I watch snow mixed with rain coming down outside my window right now!!! Love the colours you are using in your sweater…..really really pretty!

  2. Wonderful patterns! I am working on my shawl and would love to make the hat for my daughter who is a huge Dr. Who fan too! I would definitely wear the mitts and cowl! Thanks for the chance!

  3. I love all of your bow tie designs but the shawl is my favorite! How nice of you to offer a give away. The yarns are so pretty. You area very talented designer. My best to you, Pat

  4. I can’t wait to see your finished sweater! I love the colors you chose!! All of the patterns in your bowties collection are appealing, but I believe the Loop and Slouch are my favorite! Have a great week!

  5. I do love the bowties in the Loop cowl. It looks so good with the slouch hat. Please don’t enter me in the drawing. While I would love a chance at the yarn I want others to have a shot.

Congratulations on the release of the companion e-book.

  6. Hmm, that’s a hard choice! Love love love the shawl we made with the KAL, but also very partial to the mitts, no the loop, no the hat, no the leg warmers, doh!

  7. I couldn’t possibly choose between the shawl and the legwarmers! I love the stitch markers, they’re brilliant! I’m about to finish my second bluejay, matching boys reveal coming soon. Keep up the good work!

  8. I love your sweater so far. Lovely colour choices. Can’t wait to see the finished result.

Hard to choose a favourite pattern out of the 5, all are lovely. The shawl is especially appealing but I think I have just been a bit shawl mad lately so may be biased on that one. I think the leg warmers would have to be my pick as the patterns really pop out. Lovely work.
