I’m in the thick of sample knitting these days. I have most of the Bowties samples done for Knit Picks–I’m just feeling a bit hung up on the cowl right now. I’ve saved the legwarmers for last, so hopefully those will fly by much more quickly. I have about 11″ done on my Pomme de Pin Cardigan so far too, but it’s been pushed aside for now in this season of samples. (I also ordered three skeins of Ysolda’s Blend No. 1 to make her Willowbank shawl…when oh when will I find time!)
I received some very exciting news last week–a brand new design that I pitched to Knit Picks was accepted to the IDP program (in less than 48 hours, too!) I’m writing up the pattern this week, and I’m on the hunt for testers. If you’d be interested in helping me test knit this design, would you please stop by my Ravelry Group and let me know? I’d love to have some of you who I’ve gotten to know here knit with me! The deadline is May 26, so there’s lots of time to work on it! (Here’s a little WIPpic to entice you 😉
I’ve also created a specialized email list just for Testing Calls. If you’d be interested in receiving information about future designs and want to have first dibs on signing up to test knit, would you consider joining the list? I don’t anticipate sending more than 10 or so emails per year, and there’s no obligation to volunteer if a certain design isn’t your cup of tea. Thanks for considering!
I’ve been continuing to read Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl. It’s very interesting, while being completely heart wrenching at the same time. It’s really an incredible story.
