Can I Knit All The Things?

img_6799blogWe had our first cool, fall-like weather last week.  It’s gone now, but my goodness, was it refreshing!  It’s mid-80s for the foreseeable future, but I’m going to cling to last week’s crisp feeling for dear life until the weather starts behaving again!

It has certainly motivated me to knit. all. the. things.  I have a Capsule Tee on the needles in Knit Picks CotLin DK (Swan, Wallaby and Flamingo-what a combo!)  I’m hoping to have that finished in the next week or so, as I’ll still be able to wear it for a few weeks before it finally cools off here.

I also just finished Ysolda’s Willowbank Shawl.  I splurged and bought 3 skeins of her Blend No. 1 to knit it in and I’m so glad I did!  It’s so squishy and soft–and such a gorgeous grey color!  I really do like the versatility of neutrals–I just need to get over feeling “boring” for wanting to knit with them so much.

On the designing front, I’ve finished up a lovely two color DK weight cowl that will be ready for testing soon and a sweet little textured hat (I love the rainbow pooling of the MadTosh Night Hawk–how fortuitous!)  I’ve got a whole pile of designs still in the “concept” stage…now just to find some more knitting time!

I’ve picked Letters from Honey Hill back up for a bit of light reading.

Linking up with Ginny for Yarn Along and Nicole for Keep Calm, Craft On this week.  Send some of your chilly fall weather this way, will you?

  1. look at all of your works in progress! makes me want to cast something on my needles 🙂 I just finished a super long book so I’m up for light reading for quite some time.
