Yarn Along : Selfish Knitting
I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my designing break this fall and have relished the opportunity to knit some designs that have been in my queue for quite some time. I just finished a gorgeous Jujuy shawl by Jojo Locatelli in madtosh TML in Kitten, Virgo & Dirty Panther and I adore it! I’m never exactly sure how to wear a wide crescent shawl, but I’m determined to figure it out…this one has to be shown off!
I don’t think I’ve shared a finished pic of my Kallara shawl by Ambah O’Brien either–I just love it! I used Long Dog Yarns Twist Fingering in Summer Bouquet and Witch’s Brew. It's beautiful and I wear it all the time! It’s a wide asymmetrical triangular shawl, so it’s wraps more like a scarf than a shawl and the colors go with much of what I wear! It was a wonderfully simple and relaxing knit.
I’ve also made some great progress on my Eddard socks, also in Long Dog Yarns Twist in Salted Caramel colorway. I’m ready to start toe decreases today…then on to the 2nd sock! They’re not going quite as quickly as the Rye socks I made for Luca in Cascade 220, but hey–they’re super cool looking, so I’ll give them a pass 😉
No reading this week (but lots of cleaning, packing and decluttering to prepare for listing our house for sale this week! Aaah! Things are happening!)
I did recently do an interview with the lovely Carolyn Macpherson who podcasts at The Next Beautiful Thing (on my birthday even!). She asked some really fun questions–if you have a little bit of time we’d love for you to stop by her YouTube channel and take a listen!
Many thanks for helping me to celebrate my 33rd trip around the Sun! Linking up with Ginny for Yarn Along and Nicole for Keep Calm, Craft On this week. Best wishes!
